The fine print, in plain English
Terms of Service
What you can expect from us, and what we need from you, when you order a custom cutout.
Last updated August 5, 2026
These terms apply to orders placed on allblownup.com. By placing an order you agree to them. We have tried to write them the way we would explain them on the phone.
Who we are
All Blown Up makes custom cardboard cutouts, big heads, life-size standees and jumbo photo enlargements. We are based in Oxnard, California and ship nationwide. You can reach a real person at brian@allblownup.com or through our contact form.
Placing an order
An order is placed when you check out and pay through our website. You will receive an order confirmation by email. That confirmation means we have your order and your payment, not that the order has been approved for print. Printing begins after you approve your proof.
We may need to contact you before printing if the photo will not produce a good result, if a detail is missing, or if we have a question about your instructions. We will always try you by email first.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order and refund it in full. Reasons include an image we do not have the right to reproduce, a pricing or listing error on our side, or content we are not willing to print.
Your free proof
Every cutout includes a free design proof, and nothing prints until you approve it. There is no separate art or setup fee.
The proof is your chance to check the crop, the size, the spelling of any text and the overall look. Please look at it properly. Once you approve a proof, that approved artwork is what we print, and the order moves into production.
If we do not hear back from you, your order simply waits. We will follow up, but an order cannot be produced or shipped until the proof is approved.
The photo you send us
When you upload a photo, you confirm that you own it or have permission to use it, and that you have permission from the people in it, or from a parent or guardian if they are a minor. This matters to us because a large share of our work is school, team and family photos.
You keep ownership of your photo. You give us permission to use it only for the purpose of designing, proofing, printing and delivering your order.
We will not use your photo in our own marketing, on our website or on social media without asking you first.
Professional portraits are frequently copyrighted by the photographer, including school and sports photos. If a photographer's studio watermark or copyright notice is on the image, we may ask you to confirm you have their written permission before we print it.
We enhance every image before printing, but we cannot add detail that is not in the original file. A small, blurry or heavily compressed photo will produce a soft print. If we think your photo will not hold up at the size you ordered, we will tell you at the proof stage and offer your options.
How your cutout is made
Life-size cutouts, waist-up cutouts and our larger big heads are UV printed on sturdy 275 pound board and hand-cut to the shape of the figure with no white border. Our smaller big heads are printed on 16pt semi-gloss stock. Foam board and coroplast upgrades are available on many products, with the upcharge shown on the product page.
Cutouts are made for indoor use unless you have ordered a weather-resistant material. Cardboard is not waterproof.
Because each piece is hand-cut, small variations in the cut line are normal and are not a defect.
Packs print one photo repeated. A 2-pack, 4-pack or 6-pack is the same image printed that many times. It is not a set of different faces. If you want different faces, add the pack once for each photo and each one is priced separately.
Turnaround times
Cutouts are usually ready in 2 to 4 days after you approve your proof. That is a typical production time, not a guaranteed delivery date, and it does not include transit time with the carrier.
If you have a hard deadline, tell us before you order. Call or email us with your date and we will tell you honestly whether we can make it. We would much rather turn down an order than miss a senior night.
Shipping and pickup
We ship nationwide. Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your address and the size of your order. Free local pickup is available in Ventura, California.
Once your order is handed to the carrier, delivery timing is in their hands. Tracking is emailed to you.
Please inspect your order when it arrives. If it has been damaged in transit, see the section below and contact us within 14 days.
Cancellations and refunds
Custom cutouts are made to order from your photo and cannot be resold, so orders are final once you approve your proof.
If we print the wrong thing, or your order arrives damaged, contact us within 14 days and we will reprint or refund it.
Before you approve your proof, you can cancel for a full refund. Just email or call us.
After proof approval, the artwork is set and production begins, so we cannot cancel or refund a change of mind, a wrong size chosen at checkout, or a photo you decided against later.
If the fault is ours, it is ours to fix. That includes printing something other than the approved proof, a production defect, and damage that happened in transit. Send us a photo of the problem and we will reprint or refund. You will not be asked to ship a damaged cutout back to us.
Colour on a printed board will never match a backlit phone or monitor exactly. Normal variation between screen and print is not a defect.
Pricing and tax
Prices are shown in United States dollars on each product page. Sales tax is calculated at checkout where it applies.
Material upgrades such as foam board or coroplast add to the base price, and the exact upcharge is shown on the product page for that size. The upcharge is not the same on every product, so please check the option you are selecting.
If a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price, we will contact you before charging you and you can confirm or cancel.
Fundraisers
When you order through an organization's fundraiser page, 25% of the proceeds from your order go back to that organization. Your order is attributed to that organization automatically. Nothing else about your order changes: the product, the proof and the production are identical to a regular order.
Some campaigns also carry a supporter discount that is applied automatically, and a campaign deadline. Once a campaign's deadline passes, its page stops taking orders and any campaign discount ends. The products are still available at our regular prices.
Payouts to the organization are arranged directly between All Blown Up and that organization.
Our content
The design, text, photography and graphics on this website belong to All Blown Up, except for customer photographs, which belong to the customers who sent them. Please do not copy our site content for commercial use without asking.
Limits of our liability
Our responsibility for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, for example an event that did not go as planned because a carrier delivered late.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under applicable law that cannot legally be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. The terms that apply to your order are the ones published when you placed it.
