Your photos, your data
Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we need it, who else sees it, and how to get it deleted.
Last updated August 5, 2026
The short version
We collect what we need to make and deliver your cutout, and nothing else. We do not sell your personal information. We do not sell or share your photos. We never post a customer's photo publicly without asking first.
What we collect
- Order details. Your name, email address, phone number, shipping address and billing address, and what you ordered.
- The photo you upload, and the file name it came with.
- What you type into the order form, such as the student or recipient name and any special instructions.
- Fundraiser attribution, meaning which organization's page you came from, when you order through one, so we can pay that organization its share.
- Messages you send us through the contact form, by email or by phone.
- Newsletter sign-up, if you choose to give us your email address for that.
- Technical information collected automatically by our website platform, such as your device type, browser, approximate location and the pages you viewed.
You do not need an account to order. If you create one, we also hold your saved addresses and your order history.
Your uploaded photos
Your photo is the heart of the order, so we are specific about it.
- Your photo is stored on our website platform's file storage, attached to your order.
- It is used to design, proof, print and deliver your order. That is all.
- Our production team sees it. So does anyone we need to involve to print or ship the order.
- We will not put your photo on our website, our social media or any other marketing without asking your permission first. If we ask and you say no, that is the end of it.
- We keep your photo attached to your order so that we can reprint if something goes wrong, and so you can reorder later without sending it again.
- You can ask us to delete your photo at any time. See Your rights.
Photos of children
A large part of our work is school, team and family orders, so many of the photos we receive are of children. We treat them accordingly.
Our website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. When a photo of a child is uploaded, we rely on the adult placing the order having the right to share it, as set out in our Terms of Service.
We never publish a photo of a child without asking the adult who placed the order.
If you believe a child's information has been given to us by someone without the right to do so, contact us and we will delete it.
Why we use it
- To design, proof, produce and deliver your order.
- To contact you about your order, including sending your proof and answering questions.
- To take payment and to keep the accounting and tax records a business is required to keep.
- To calculate and pay an organization its share when you order through a fundraiser page.
- To ask for a review after your order arrives, if you have bought from us.
- To send marketing emails, only if you asked us to.
- To keep the website working, secure and free of fraud.
Payment information
We never see or store your full card number. Payment is handled entirely by our website platform's checkout and by the payment providers you choose there, such as Shop Pay, PayPal or your card issuer. Those providers handle your card details directly under their own privacy policies. What comes back to us is confirmation that the payment succeeded, plus the last few digits and the card type.
Who else sees your data
We share the minimum needed with the companies that help us run the business. We do not sell your information to anyone.
- Our e-commerce platform, which hosts this website, processes the checkout and stores your order and your uploaded file.
- Payment providers, to take your payment.
- Shipping carriers, who need your name and address to deliver your order.
- Our reviews provider, if we email you asking for a review after your order arrives, and if you choose to leave one.
- Our photo gallery tool, which displays images we have chosen to publish on our gallery page.
- Our accounting and shipping software, which handles invoicing, bookkeeping and label printing.
- Professional advisers or authorities, where the law requires it.
When you order through a fundraiser page, we tell that organization the total raised. We do not give an organization the personal details of individual supporters unless you have asked us to, for example so they can hand you your order at a pickup.
Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies to keep your cart working, to remember your session, and to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. Some are essential to the site functioning, and some are analytics.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will stop the cart and checkout from working properly.
We also honour the Global Privacy Control signal where your browser sends one.
How long we keep things
We keep order records, including your uploaded photo, for as long as we need them to support reorders and reprints and to meet our accounting and tax obligations. We keep contact form messages and marketing sign-ups until you ask us to remove them or you unsubscribe.
If you would like your photo or your details removed sooner, just ask.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you,
- give you a copy of it,
- correct anything that is wrong,
- delete your information, including your uploaded photos,
- stop sending you marketing email, which you can also do with the unsubscribe link in any of them.
Email brian@allblownup.com and tell us what you want. We may need to confirm who you are before we act, so that nobody else can request your data. There is no charge, and we will not treat you differently for asking.
Some records have to be kept for accounting and tax reasons even after a deletion request. We will tell you if that applies.
California residents
We are a California business. If you are a California resident, you have the rights listed above, including the right to know what personal information we collect and to request its deletion, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Security
Our website runs over an encrypted connection, and your order data and files are held on our e-commerce platform's infrastructure with its own security controls. Access on our side is limited to the people who need it to produce and ship your order.
No system is perfect. If a breach ever affected your information, we would tell you.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make a significant change to how we use your photos, we will say so clearly rather than quietly editing this page.
